Snorkelling Discovery

Snorkeling in the Mediterranean holds surprises you would not imagine. Posidonia, rocky drops, schools of sars, starfish: the sea is much more alive than it seems, even at two metres deep.

The activity

You gear up (mask, snorkel, fins, light wetsuit), slip into the water from the aft platform, and follow the underwater relief. The captain chooses a spot known for the richness of its seabeds, sheltered from the current. Surface exploration, autonomous, at your pace.

Coaching & safety

• Recent and disinfected equipment: masks, snorkels, fins, short or long wetsuits depending on the season.
• Surface briefing before entering the water: species to observe, gestures to avoid, visual landmarks.
• Naturalist / freediving-certified guide for groups who want it, or free exploration in confidence.
• Secure zone, delimited by a buoy line and watched from the deck.
• Underwater photos possible on request (GoPro provided by us).
• Snack and hydration on board between sessions.

The ideal moment

In the morning, between 9am and noon, when the sea is still flat and the light penetrates the water well. The bay of Cannes, the Estérel calanques, Cap d'Antibes and the Lérins Islands offer the best spots. In summer, we avoid midday for the heat; in spring and September, visibility is often exceptional.
